One festival, many traditions
Customs differ widely. In Maharashtra a cloth is held between bride and groom and wedding verses are sung; in Andhra and Telangana an amla branch can stand for Vishnu; in parts of Bihar the celebration lasts three days. In many homes one family plays the bride’s side and another the groom’s. Follow your own family’s way.
