Whose temples?
All Shiva Vishnu and his avatars Devi Ganesha Hanuman Murugan (Kartikeya) Surya Ayyappa Other or not recorded
All states and union territories
Each light is a temple with a known location in Wikidata or OpenStreetMap, two open databases anyone can improve. Many village and family temples are not yet recorded, so a dark area means “not yet mapped”, not “no temples”. Where a temple’s deity is not recorded, it is inferred from its name, such as “Hanuman Mandir”; about half the temples have neither. Browse by state →
Tirtha constellations Each pilgrimage list shines as a constellation. Where traditions name different places, every one is shown as a hollow star.

Story thread Follow a story episode by episode. The order is the story’s, not a historical timeline, and places are traditional identifications.
